I'm a 29/f from the Richmond, VA area.
This is my fourth time on Weight Watchers, and I'm hoping to actually stick with it this time. I started on 9/8/11 and am doing well so far. I started at 244 and now I'm at 224.
I've been fat all my life. I lost a lot of weight between my junior and senior years of high school due to stress. Later on in my college years, I met my now-husband, and his family does not care about eating well. So, I quickly gained weight. I went from about 215 - 220 to 280 over the course of 3 years.
Last year, I had some health problems (food allergies and a "rare but serious" side effect from an acne medicine). With my lifestyle changes (stop eating wheat) and the medicine I took to relieve the spinal fluid pressure, I dropped a lot of weight. So in January/February 2010, I was at 275 - 280, and by February 2011 I was about 225.
During this time, I was having some marital stress. I believed that "aided" in the weight loss. But this spring and summer, things got better for my husband and me and I started eating again. Found that I may have grown out of my wheat allergy (I've been reaction-free for over a year now) and actually began compulsive overeating toward the end of this summer.
I haven't been able to pinpoint the exact cause of my overeating, but I've been able to put a near-total stop to it with Weight Watchers and holding myself accountable. There are a few times where I have an extra cookie or two, or my entire lunch will consist of candy, but that's what my flex points are for!
I don't use the Weight Watchers community. I've had to come to this website to find the nutritional information for a lot of foods to find PointsPlus values. So I figured I'd see what FatSecret.com was all about.
Feel free to hit me up. I love to meet new people!
