Married mom of 2 grown children and proud "Maw-Maw" of 2 grandkids (so far). Did Atkins a long time ago (in my teens) and went from my (OMG-said in a super sar castic voice) "high" of 185 down to 142. Would just about sacrifice my left boob to be that "fat" [185] again. I've battled clinical depression for years and have fought a self-loathing of myself for even longer. It's time to finally LOVE "me" as I've managed to hate myself up to almost 300 lbs. My starting weight was actually 290.6. Hoping to get some new buddies and support here.

Actual start date: January 25, 2016 - 290.6
February 4 - 278.2
February 24 - 272.4

Well, here it is, June 11, 2018. And I begin again at a "mere" 308 lbs. Feeling pretty crappy right now. Shall we begin?

weightloss after menopause
@Sweetalot...Oh, the "not 25 anymore" reference was not about having the body of a 25 year old...just the metabolism! I just used to be able to lose weight faster than this. It's ok though, the only person I'm racing with is myself. And I plan to be the winner! Laughing

Just one work out song...
C+C Music Factory - Gonna Make You Sweat,
Snap - I've Got The power,
Salt-N-Pepa - Push It,
All older songs, but great beats to dance/work out to

weightloss after menopause
Not to exclude the men, but.... I started menopause at around 38-39. Was done by 42-43. Have found weight loss to be painfully slow after menopause. Any other women's insights, feedback, or experiences welcome. My mom used to tell me, "Well baby-girl, you're not 25 anymore..." Thanks mom!!! Laughing
