I'm on the 3rd day of the Fast Release (1st phase of the diet). It's like a detox, and man do I have to pee a lot. I know it's TMI- but it's the truth if anyone tries it. I made most of my yogurt which saves me money. Then I made my smoothies (strawberries) ahead of time so that I can stick to the plan. I'm really proud of myself for saying no to my daughters offering me a bite of her doughnuts. It wasn't hard because I've had the hankering for some salty, crunchy, and heavy starch items. After tommorow I will get to start Fade Away (2nd phase) for 10 days. Then I will have more gut filling food, low grain/starch, that will seem greatly appreciated. The great thing is I do get carbs and sweets but they're healthy, and I only need 1 smoothie that is tailored for Fade Away.
Also I wanted to note that I started job training last week as a substitute food service worker, and my body felt so incredibly out of shape even though I didn't feel physically pushed. My back is so weak from what I believe is upper weight gain tugging my spine forward. Also I realize that as I'm getting older it's so much harder on me, period, to be unhealthy in the least. I just want to feel good enough to move more freely.

This is the official Digest Diet 21 day plan, and the 1st phase for 2/21/2017 even though I'm recording on 2/23/2017. I wish I knew how to edit my recipe, but I don't see any place to select. The calories are lower than listed this time because I'm using PB fit powder, instead of the regular natural peanut butter.

Yesterday I took the family out for my daughters 13 Birthday dinner at Texas Roadhouse. I was surprisingly good considering there was not so healthy items on the table. I remained in control and ate only half of a Chicken "F" Chicken, ate most of my veggies, and a few bites of mash, and had gravy on the side just for a little taste, a couple of bites from the roll. We took home leftovers and thank God my skinny minnies ate most of it driving home and then some. That took care of the temptation to nibble. I made a cake, and they ate that too. They look skinny as ever...I wish I could change metabolisms. But I still weigh the same. I think that is a good thing.

So for now I'm roughly following the 3rd phase of the this diet, which is basically a life long commitment to eating healthy. 2-3oz lean protein, 2 c. veggies, 1/4 c of starch. I have some of the starchy carbs, but just not processed. I figure that I will allow myself the time to adjust into eating a normal healthy diet before diving into the more restrictions of Phase 1 & 2. Usually yogurt smoothies begins the 1st part of the phase, but it's been a hard winter and soup is what hit's the spot after shoveling knee deep snow. I'll save that for February were it is easier to keep track. I find it is really hard to adjust from one extreme to another extreme because of that sense of deprivation seems to sabotage successful weight loss.
