Well you'd all be proud...
I feel your pain. I love to bake. I usually make muffins for work on Saturday but since dieting I'm missing out on the best part of loving to bake.
Would kill someone if I could get one of my homemade chocolate chip cookies calorie free.

How to cut the sugar cravings!
Hate to make this my first post but here goes...
Atkins recommends going cold turkey (or pretty close to it). Sugar is processed from the stomach at a rate of 10 calories per minute compared to protien at 2 calories per minute. Replacing some high sugar foods with high protein should go a long way to curb cravings. Note this isn't going to happen overnight, the book said something like 2 weeks.
He also really talked down most artificial sweeteners (with the exception of suralose) because they all still cause insulin levels in the blood to rise and also therefor your desire for sugar to counterbalance them.
My personal favorite, beef jerkey.
