Note to self: those 4 Tablespoons of Bacon Fat were
not
from spooning stuff out of your Bacon Fat storage can (ewwwwwww, gross!). You bought a pound of Trader Joe's Bacon Ends & Pieces which happened to be about 87% fat, and as you cooked up the entire pound, you did some
serious
noshing on some of the pieces that were all fat and no meat.

What??? This ended
It's still the 27th where I am!
So, my weight this morning was 136 pounds, which is three pounds less than yesterday's weight, so I'm taking this as pretty danged good. And when one considers the stress-eating and the potluck yesterday and that waaaaaaaaaaaaaay-to-carby drink Saturday, I did rather well.

The potluck had
beautiful
weather: sunny and warm. I sat out in the sun until I could feel my right forearm sizzling. And, sure enough, when I got to the awning-covered porch, I saw the red blotches. Ah, but everyone cooked for the potluck, and so of course I had to take a bit of everything. A week ago, I realized that beef could be on my menu again: I had stopped eating it because it played Hob with my "Lady Time" (migraines & projectile hurking). Now that I'm on the other side of The Change, there's no risk of
that
anymore. The host had cooked all the burgers Medium Rare, and mine tasted pretty good. Wonder if beef costs are anywhere near chicken and turkey costs?
Ed's cake -- his mother's recipe -- was
delicious
, so fruity yet not overly sweet. Hats off to Ed's Mom! The frosting, however, was probably enough for a
second
two-layer cake, and I'm certain that I ingested an entire month's worth of sweetener based on the volume of the frosting! Mm, mm, mm, mm, mm: tasty!
The Apple Spirals got compliments of both kinds: people thought they were pretty, and they ate pretty much all of them. Eating it up is my idea of a compliment to the "chef," so I feel even more encouraged to take those carving lessons. Oh, man, do I ever need a job!

No doubt about it, those espresso drinks are Carb Bombs! I wonder whether the new owners of that coffeehouse are gonna offer anything like tea. I pretty much ate Olive Oil and Coconut Oil for the rest of the day, since, at one point, the Carbs were at 29%!
TWENTY-NINE PERCENT!!!
On another note, my evening constitutional led me to a box of free-for-the-taking books. Now I have even more cookbooks to peruse: woo hoo!
Uh-oh: it's nearly bedtime. I better make those Fat Bombs. Mad scientist time, once again, bwah hah haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
