What is this, National Consternation Week??!? This morning, my Turmeric Latte tumbled over the edge of my sink -- the only other spot in my kitchen that resembles countertop space -- and spilled everywhere as the mug broke into pieces. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH!!!!!! Breakfast tomorrow is going to be some kinda fun! X-(

Decided that those 3 fat bombs were about stress-eating over the mess made, so I asked myself what I really wanted. Expecting to uncover an emotional issue, I was surprised to "see" that what I really wanted was chocolate. Go figure! I mixed a little of the baking cocoa with an even smaller amount of coconut oil, added water and what turned out to be too much coconut sugar (so now we know for later). Took care of the cravings, just like that: wow!

Gotta make some more coconut milk tonight, and then drink a Turmeric Latte -- but with NO SPICES ADDED -- before going to bed. Meanwhile, I think it might be better for me to start eating at 6pm instead of my years-long (like since college!) practice of 7:30 pm, so that I'll have more time between dinner and beddie-bye. Just a thought.

#*&$^*&#^)T*#&%(*#^$(*&^#*&@(^#!! Hit the wrong key and got sent back a page, losing my entire journal entry! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Yikes, what did I write??? Let's see... There was the sinking feeling that my cravings for these Fat Bombs might actually be Fructose cravings. As I was making this last batch, I noticed that there were not enough blueberries to make another one, so I threw them in with what I was making. This made for more berries, and so more Fructose, than the recipe calls for, thus making them sweeter. So next time, I will make the Peanut Butter ones, as that stuff doesn't send me into a cravings spiral.

Glad to have negative calories for the day, that's for sure! There's a recipe for a Turmeric bedtime shake, which just might take care of my late-night peckishness. I'd make it without the ice cubes, though: my freezer (my miniature deep-freeze) has no room for making ice cubes, and I would rather use my battery-operated drink mixer instead of unpacking my blender. Particularly since I will be moving one of these days, and I don't wanna hafta re-pack that monster. (Ooops, that was not a complete sentence: I must be sleepy.)

Finally chopped the bacon into smaller pieces, so that's one prep done. Now that the second batch of Turmeric Latte Paste is made -- I used Olive Oil this time, instead of Coconut Oil -- I think I'm okay for the rest of the week, after which time I can afford to buy groceries again.

Oh, man! Where's that subliminal video for oral health, the one that made my molar stop hurting? Did I bookmark it? Sure hope so...

Negative net calories, which is cool, I guess. I kinda don't care today: going across town, on a bus, for a 3-hour class that was smack in the middle of the day really threw me for a loop. And oversleeping this morning didn't help at all. Another day without bacon, yikes! :-)

Had a very strong urge for something with that savory (umami?) flavor, but more substantial than a fat bomb per se, so I mixed a bit of peanut butter with some toasted sesame oil. Forgot how much I love the flavor of that oil! The end result was a much less sweet peanut butter spoonful, which I enjoyed one 1/16th of a teaspoon at a time.

Ngah! (to borrow a "word" from kitty-cats). I think I've had it with this day. Gonna wash dishes and call it a night. After all, with a Monday holiday this weekend, I can always "mix it up" later.

Negative calories after the day I've had??? Must've been all that walking, 'cause I kinda oinked out on the Creamed Coconut this evening. But I'm getting ahead of myself. Breakfast's bacon "ends and pieces" contained TWO full ones that were so long I had to cut them out of the package after 12 inches. EACH. It was quite a challenge trying to position them in my teeny, tiny omelette pan! Worth it, though: they were each something like 96% fat. Numma, numma! They set me in good stead as I did all my shopping ahead of the weekend. Uwajimaya did, indeed, have some very small spatulas -- they even matched my kitchen color scheme, which is saying something -- in their housewares-and-gifts department. Some were as short as 5" and some of the blades were only half an inch wide. Holy moley! I sent a text to my friend who has been looking for a mini pancake flipper. She will be on the horns of a dilemma trying to choose one! :-)

Trader Joe's seems to have discontinued their Kalamata olive oil, so I will never know how it tasted. I did, however, get a bottle of their new-ish Athinolia olive oil -- so fancy, it's not even filtered. La-di-da, but it tasted pretty good on the veggie burger, and did all right on the turkey burger. Also, i learned that Trader Joe's avocados are much more flavorful than the ones at the local QFC: probably because TJ's supplier allows them to ripen before they are picked and shipped up here. ;-)

And as for the Fat Bombs, what a mess! Even after taking them out of the freezer three hours before using them, the berries still solidified the Coconut Oil & Creamed Coconut!! I think that, from now on, I will add the frozen berries to the double-boiler with the Coconut stuff. This batch did, in addition, drip all over the place, and I was relieved to finally get them all in the fridge. Gonna be up late cleaning the stovetop, I can see...

Made some hair-styling pomade yesterday, and forgot to take it out of the refrigerator until I saw it this morning, when it was too hardened to try out on my hair. I went with the "Hair Jello" (which is just water and Knox gelatin), and will do the pomade-testing tomorrow. I sure have been a Messy Nessie these last two days! :-p

Ahhhhh: tomorrow's another day!

Got up so late, there wasn't time to make breakfast, but I got to the dentist's office on time. Man, oh man, a day without bacon is like a bicycle without handles! Definitely cooking bacon tomorrow morning, no matter when i get out of bed!

The good news is, the front desk person at the dentist's told me to call when I was ready for another appointment. Considering they've seen me every single week this month, I think I oughta take a few weeks off before calling. The bad news is, I gotta go back to get another tooth filled. Like they haven't seen enough of me in May? Sheesh!

So, with my new-fangled smile at the ready, I went online to look for a job. Not a whole lot of 'em today: better luck tomorrow. They're not gonna start ripping out the plumbing in my apartment building before the end of June, so I have a little "breathing room." A little.

But, hey, negative calories today!
