Bought a loaf of bread for what HealthfulPursuit-dot-com refers to as "carb ups": sliced it and put pairs of slices in freezer bags which have their own little plastic basket in my freezer. Also emptied the "Bacon Bits and Pieces" onto my Meats cutting board, then chopped them into chunks that are about 1 inch square. Now I can measure out the bacon more accurately. And, since I have read, on a number of different kinds of sites, that cooking bacon "low and slow" retains more of its nutrients, I will do that in the mornings. I hope it goes well taste-wise, as I'm sure my little pan will prefer the lower heat setting. We'll see.

Still no chocolate cravings. In fact, I feel a-okay about chocolate, which is very cool: the binging was caused by the sugar, evidently. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

Not surprised that my net carbs are minus 473 today, as I just didn't feel like eating as often this afternoon. I had been eating on my old schedule -- and the specialist that recommended it has since retired, so what does he care? -- up until today, when I decided to just go with whether or nor I was hungry instead of eating by the clock. A fellow could get used to this...

The needle! The dam! The block! The drilling! The whole side of my face feeling numb and swollen! No doubt about it, today's trip to the dentist was some kinda exciting. Not the kind I prefer, however. And to think, I get to do it all over again next week! Plus, the week after that(as Kurt Weill wrote in The Three Penny Opera, "Yay. Hooray.")! She's stacking in my appointments so close together because she's going on maternity leave soon. So, since I don't trust my numb tongue to keep from getting badly bit, I think I'll put off lunch for another hour, and hike up the hill to the drugstore to buy some light bulbs, which I need anyway.

Oh! No chocolate craving when I got home: taking a month off seems to have done the trick. Way cool! I am, however, going to try some later today, just to see if last month's binge was the chocolate or the sugar. I hope it's the sugar. Please let it be the sugar!

Took Northernmusician's advice and went to "tdeecalculator.net" to get my RDI from there. It says, 1660 per day. That's something I can shoot for, but how do I change it on FS, I wonder?

So, 1883 calories for the day - but, I still kept my carbs beneath 30%, so there! If I subtract all my dashing about this evening, that leaves 117: now I know what "Net" means under that stopwatch thingie there. Okay.

Man, oh man, I can hardly wait until I get another job. The whole "temp for a living" thing is SO aggravating, I'm not even going to consider trying to get hired by a Temp agency this time: I want a place to settle into, a job I can sink my teeth into, so to speak. [/rant] It'll be easier to get my carbs percentage down even further when I can afford to buy different kinds of things.
Like stuff at the Farmer's Market. Mmmmm, produce.....

Gotta cook up 2 brekkies tomorrow, as the power company is shutting us off tomorrow night. Better make a Turmeric Latte to put in the thermos jar, too. Got a battery-operated alarm clock, so that doesn't need any work, and I already changed out the batteries in my two LED lanterns (my kitchen has no windows -- can you believe it? -- and I will need to see my way around the "cave"), and the laundry is done. I think that's everything I'll need until the electricity comes back on at noon Friday.

Wow, even after taking that surprisingly long nap this morning, I am still beat. And a little under par, thinking-wise. Must be time to close up shop for the day.
