I'm a geek who's been struggling with my weight since I've been a pre-teen, despite a very good diet when I was growing up. But I started this journey in January 2015 at 231 lb and found a system that works for me so I'm getting pretty close to my goal weight!
I enjoy contra-dancing, reading, tv (mostly sci-fi type), travelling, board games, movies, sugar (unfortunately) and hiking, pretty much in that order.

Addicted to Coffee with creamer every morning!
If going straight to the really healthy option doesn't work for you (I know I don't like almond milk in my coffee) you can always try a more gradual approach. First try changing the creamer for 2% milk. If this is not creamy enough for you, you can always try a mix of milk and coffee cream (sold as half-and-half in Canada but you can make your own) and then gradually lower the cream portion in it.
