Good morning Journal! Another national strike day today in the country! No public transport whatsoever; European heads of State supposed to be in town today for big summit, no planes or airport staff available, ha ha ha! The office is half-dead, almost no one in.
Weather: very cold, snowing as I write, minus 12 celsius expected tonight.
Walked to the office (1h), and I'll walk back home tonight. I think I'll have to skip the run tonight; see how I feel and how the weather holds.

Good morning Journal! This morning I have been proven once more that it is ALL in the mind! As I set out of the house for my early jog, after a few meters I realized that my MP3 was not charged: silence in the headphones...PANIC!!!! What should I do??? I cannot run without music! My other mp3 is in the office, damn it! Should I turn back and not run today??? Oh dear, I won't last 1km, I'll just give up...As all these thoughts were racing in my mind, well I did not even realize I was well into my routine...Ha ha ha, what a fool...I just kept going, went to the park as usual, and did my 12 laps around the pound, as planned. I did not die of boredom, I did not give up, it was just all fine... Great discovery of the day: I CAN of course run without music. It was all a gimmick (or excuse) of my lazy little self standing between me and my willpower to move my ass and RUN. It was even a good exercise to listen more carefully to my breathing, pulse, and study my pace.
Just to say that too often we stop ourselves from getting fitter, losing that extra weight, achieving our goals just because we have these set ideas, routines, thinking and we convince ourselves that we cannot change anything to them or if we do try to change anything to them, it is doomed to fail, or we will suffer and fail anyway.
I do not always agree with the saying 'no pain, no gain', but hey, changes mean pain sometimes, but for the better.
A wonderful Sunday ahead! Gonna charge the mp3 anyway... :-)))

Hello Journal!! Rest day yesterday was enjoyed! Out for drinks with colleagues, good fun, then watched Godfather III. Tonight is SPIN night, double whammy!

Done my big run : 12.5kms. Pushed hard with intervals for the first 6kms: 1km run (9.5km/h), then 500m faster between 10.3 and 10.7km/h. Then cooled down jogging a further 2kms @ 8km/h. After that 1h30 mins, spinning seemed like hell. Enough cardio for the day!

Good morning Journal! Following my running plan, today is a BIG run day! Aiming for 12 kms tonight. I'll do it indoors though, so got my playlist all set up, MP3 batteries loaded, planned enough food to fuel me till tonight. I've logged a spinning session as well; I promised my gym buddies to do the late class with them tonight; it'll be a complete but lighter session for me.
