Current Weight

Performance: losing 2.8 lb a week

Goal Weight

I have always been overweight. I lost almost 50lbs (8yrs ago, when I was 21) with slimfast and cutting back on carbs. I gained it back and then lost almost 30lbs with Weight Watchers (6 yrs ago). Gained all that back, too. Then I started a diet where I cut LOTS of calories and walked every day. I was doing great, then found out I was pregnant (2yrs ago) :)
Now, I am bigger than ever and am ready to start that low cal diet I was doing so well on.

I wouldnt advise alcohol, only becuase it tends to make you eat more. If you do chose to enjoy a cocktail, becareful. Some drinks contain LOTS of sugar.
I used to drink ALL the time, which was a huge factor in my weight gain. I wish I could have a drink or two every now and again but I always end up eating things I wouldnt, had I not drank anything lol.

Calorie Issue
I definitely wouldnt eat higher calorie foods. It's very difficult to get in the calories you need when you are dieting b/c you are eating more fruits and veggies, which are higher in fiber than the foods we are used to eating. I have been going online and reading different recipes and getting creative with what I fix. I pick a veggie, google recipes for it, and you wouldnt believe the things you will find. Eggplant is my favorite right now. I make pizza w/it, pasta w/it, soups, stews, etc... its so versatile. Adding lean meats, low fat cheese, low sugar pasta sauces, etc... you are able to get your calories a bit higher w/out all the added fat, carbs, sodium, etc.
Sorry for rambling. I was just excited that I might have an answer to someones question on here haha.

i did horrible
I can relate. Today is day two for me and I have goofed as well. I originally had quit my job but they asked me to come back for a few weeks to help out. This job is a night shift position that caused me to gain THIRTY LBS in only SIX MONTHS! No joke. I eat out of boredom. Well, anywho, I come back in to work and eat all the foods I had packed for the day, PLUS I went to walmart and got chicken and dumplings, boiled peanuts and had some cheetos as well. WHAT THE HECK WAS I THINKING!!!???? I am miserable now, but I am not letting it get me down. I'm starting fresh and keeping a positive attitude. We can do this! We have to have faith in ourselves that we can change our bad habits. It may not happen over night & it may not go exactly the way we want it to, but WE CAN DO THIS!
Keep your chin up.
