Exercises on a vibration plate
One of the gym chains in SA have these - called power plates. Although one can use them in between (to just wiggle on your own Smile there are classes given on these machines. When I went back to gym, I thought that I will just ease back with a 30 minute power plate class. They do all the basic exercises on them from squats (on the machine) to lunges off the machine but your bent front leg on the machine. Many arm exercises were done with the use of elastic bands - standing on the plate. So it is a proper workout but you have to work harder because you are standing on a vibrating plate and not on a solid surface - very good for core training. I could hardly move for 5 days. Now I am training with a trainer and I will only do power plate again when my muscles are a bit stronger and supple. So sullyslittle, get out your plate and good luck! Just take it slowly in the beginning... I can't remember all the exercises - perhaps you could google it. If you can't find it I can take a pic of the board at gym and email it to you.
