Oh my god that was a phenomenal dinner.
I went to Coi, which is arguably the best restaurant in San Francisco. It's the only two-star Michelin restaurant in the city, and there are no three-stars-- you have to go to Napa for those.
The 11-course tasting menu was absolutely fabulous. But really... how do you record that in your diet calendar? Somehow, "popcorn grits" just isn't in the food list. Neither is "beef (lichen crusted, new zealand spinach, porcini, native spices)".
And the wine pairings. Oh god, the wine pairings.

Starting today, I'm on a two week diet vacation. I'll be traveling a lot and eating out a lot (and none of it in chain restaurants) so it will be impossible to record what I eat.
