So............. I'm considering doing another experiment with Intuitive Eating!
I'll let you know what I decide, but I think that since I'm questioning my goal weight, IE may be the best way to go.
Supposedly, if I listen to my body's hunger signals 100% and follow the criterea of IE, my body will settle at the weight that it's supposed to be at. I'm starting to think that my body likes being at 144-145, but I may surprise myself and lose a little more with IE. Or, the opposite could happen and I end up gaining a bit. Surprisingly, I'm actually OK with gaining a bit as long as I don't get back into the 150's.
Anyway, I'm going to re-read my Intuitive Eating book and report back what I decide.
No matter what I decide with my eating, I am going to keep on updating with monthly measurements posts for a while, and keep on toning up with exercise. Also, I will continue eating mostly Power Foods and always try to listen to my hunger signals. And keep up with the number one rule: Everything in moderation!!!

Dow .8 this week! I was "in the red" by about 12 PointsPlus, so this is pretty good. :-)
This week I'm planning to leave a few activity points behind, which will hopefully result in an entire pound lost! I'll be happy with anything .6 and higher, though.
The ultimate goal for me is to get to my goal weight by my birthday in October. Now I'm less than ten pounds away!
I'm stoked that so many people signed up for my "30 Day Exercise" Challenge! For the next 30 days I will do some sort of focused activity every day. I'm excited for this one.

I'm feeling pretty good about my healthy lifestyle right now!
Things are going exactly as I want them to go. I made the 75 pounds lost milestone on Saturday, which felt amazing. :-)
I'm learning to really listen to my body. Some days it is telling me to move more, some days it's telling me to eat more fat, some days more protein, some days less food, some days more food! And it feels great to really listen.
I still slip up, though. I feel as if this will be a lifelong learning process that never ends.
But getting to know my body and its cravings has been a beautiful thing, and I can't wait to learn more.
I started a new challenge on here called "30 Day Exercise Challenge" that will challenge me and all members to get up and move every single day for an entire month. There are no guidelines other than that. No expectations except that you should move with focused activity (meaning you can't count things that you would have done anyway, like washing dishes) for at least 10 minutes a day.
My plan is to keep up with my current exercise schedule, plus on my days of rest do either a leisurely walk or some pilates.

I DID IT!!!!!!! Down 75 entire pounds.
I know that you can't see on my weight tracker here, but that's because (duh) I started Fatsecret after I had already lost some weight. :-)
My starting weight in May 2009: 220 pounds.
In two years, I've lost 75 pounds. To some, that may seem like a long time, but to me, losing 37.5 pounds a year is a great rate!
I've learned how to eat and how to exercise, and my mind has had the chance to catch up to my body. This means that when I look at myself, I see a thin(ish) and very healthy body. :-) And THAT is the greatest reward to me.
I still have 10 pounds to go, and I have faith that I will be able to do that by my October 7 birthday. YAY!!!
