Update: I am a 57 year old engineer and have reached my target goal of 228 lbs. Next: 210 lbs. Eating less, exercising more, sleeping more (6 hours minimum), and drinking 64 oz. of water. Lastly, getting my spine adjusted every week helps also.

I am a 56 year old overweight Engineer for a major aerospace company. I do not drive a desk all day, but there are times during the week I do. I have been hitched for 37 years to my wonderful spouse, have four adult children, and 5 grandies. My weight loss journey started in High School where I was constantly overweight. Not obese, but just overweight. I took a job at a restaurant where I had to pay for my own meals and I lost so much weight at that time, least I ever weighted, about 160 lbs. While in college, I was building muscle and topped out at 200 lbs. will pumping iron. Got married and ballooned to 252 lbs. Split the largest pair of pants up the crotch and thought, Emil get the mass off. I have been battling ever since. Never been 252 again, but the most was 242 here in my 50's. Too much, so I bought a scale, that helped a lot. Portion control is my weakness. Stopped drinking soda/pop every other day, that helped a lot also. Going on high blood pressure medication, that was the motivator. So now I am on the journey and to be honest, I want to look good naked...which I am not there yet. I did find out that if I weight about 228 lbs. or less, I look a lot better and feel a lot better. So that is a goal, 228 lbs. The last goal is 215 lbs. which might be pushing it motivational wise, but my body can definitely lose that weight.
