On June 22, 2015 I weighed 300.7 at the doctors office and was diagnosed with diabetes. On August 13, 2015 I went for a follow up visit and weighed 280.7. My appointment was almost over and I said, "I lost 20 pounds. Aren't you going to say anything? You should be giving me a gold star!" My doctor promised to get some gold stars. I go back on October 15, 2015. I hope to lose enough weight to reverse diabetes. I wonder how much I will have to lose?

I saw my Doctor in late June. I weighed 300.7 and she diagnosed me with diabetes, which was scary. My doctor doesn't like Atkins because of "too much meat". I am going through stages of grief in response to her diagnosis: anger, resentment, denial, etc. I quit Atkins and now I am just trying to eat less. I have been able to lose weight on diets in the past, but only temporarily, so I feel kind of doomed.

I am frustrated. I am trying to follow Atkins (modified to allow adequate fiber), and recording my food at CRON-O-Meter. I want to see progress in the daily fluctuation of the scale, but clearly I've made no progress since my last weigh-in 42 days ago, in fact I've gained 5 lbs.
I need to keep pursuing my weight loss so I can make appropriate adjustments which will allow success.

I failed as a vegan. I had cravings I couldn't account for, so I found the 80/10/10 diet unsatisfying and impossible for me to stay on. For me, 80/10/10 was a disappointment.
Right now I am adrift. Having no program is a recipe for disaster for me, so I need to figure out what to do. "Hoping to lose weight" is not going to get me very far.
