I am a retired teacher / school administrator and now work part-time for educational researchers at a local state university and love my job. Working makes it harder to find quality time for exercise so I have been doing youtube exercise videos. I have a step, a mini trampoline, and kettlebells/dumbbells at home so that helps but I still feel the need to join a gym and push myself harder. Meal planning is a little difficult because my husband can eat anything he wants and not gain weight plus he has a huge appetite but I do my best to work around that! I live on the Texas Gulf coast. I am anxious to get this weight off before summer gets here!

what is your goal weight, 5'3 and 5'4 ladies?
Hi Texas granny, I’m in Texas too but not yet a granny! I’m 5’3” & my goal is 125. My dream weight would be 117. But I just have to see how it goes.

Hi Everyone trying to partner up with someone with similar habits
Hi everyone, I'm at a little older than you all (64) but our situations all seem similar! I'm 5'3" and would love to lose 50 pounds although 30 or 40 would put me in a more normal range. I have tried low-calorie (always hungry and thinking about food), Vegan (eventually I want an egg or piece of chicken or fish plus if you do it correctly, you aren't allowed any oils), and low carb. I like low carb because it brings my hunger under control yet I find it hard to stick to it for the long term. I tend to bounce back and forth from low calorie to low carb and I don't ever get anywhere. However, I'm going to try low carb again just because it feels so good to be more in control of my hunger ad my eating. One of my challenges is dinner time with my thin husband. He has to have lots of food and even double starches at dinner just to keep his weight up. Having all that around at that time of the day is difficult but I have to do it anyway. I will be here to support all of you in any way I can!
