Performance: losing 0.2 lb a week

Goal Weight

I am a mother of 4 children: Ryan (14), Ben(12), Sam(9), and Clare(3). I have been happily married for 17 years to a wonderful husband who is also trying to loose weight. I am an elementary teacher. I work part time (until 1) everyday. I love my job and my schedule! Growing up I was always too skinny and could eat everything and not gain a pound. I am now 40 and have slowly been adding a couple pounds a year. I want to lose at least 10 pounds so I can fit in clothes better and not worry about the tummy hang over. My family also has a history of diabetes so I want to stay healthy so I do not have to worry about that.

Scales
I'm looking for a more reliable scale to use at home. I don't want all the gadgets and gizmos... Just a good accurate scale. Any suggestions?

curves smart gyms. anybody attend ??
I was a curves member several years ago and really enjoyed it. I loved that I didn't have to think about my workout plan for the day, it was all mapped out for me. I also liked the monthly measurements and graphs. I stopped going for several reasons. One being that they kept cutting the hours when they were open. Another was that I stopped losing weight and motivation. I think once you master the machines, it is hard to increase your intensity. I also was one of the youngest and started to feel out of place when I started doing more on the recovery boards (in between the machines) to increase the intesity. I now go to Anytime Fitness and love it.

Any Connection between Feeling Blue and Not Exercising!!!
Yesterday I just wanted to go home and take a nap. I went for a long walk instead. I felt much better. Some days I can't wait to get to the gym. Some days I have to make myself go...

I can't take it any more - it's "LOSE" weight, not "LOOSE" (post your pet peeves
When I turn down food and people make me feel bad because I "don't need to lose anymore weight, your too skinny already." Grrr. I'll be the judge of that!

By the way- did I use the right lose/loose?!
