Can not believe I have been dipping in and out of fatsecret.com for over eleven years and have seen my weight drop (lowest a drop of 27lb’s) and back up again.......
Been monitoring my Macro’s since August 2017 and with this focus and increased exercise I have seen a drop of circa 21lbs and a third of my body fat.
Just need to keep at this weight and lose some more body fat......

I know I shouldn't be counting but..............................
ImLuuvd and Information,
I've taken your advise and I think the change is really helping. I know it's early days but I've dropped two pounds in two days and as you will see from my diary I am keeping to a steady food intake rate but am eating "low" low GI's (if that makes sense).
Thanks again and ImLuuvd you Mum seems lovely.
Cheers

I know I shouldn't be counting but..............................
Imluuvd,
Thought you'd like to know I took your advice and have picked up some light cheeses, Feta, Cottage and Leerdammer. So the high fat cheese and crackers from my lunchbox are now being eaten by my sister
Also in my shopping bag is plenty of low GI food, which I am looking forward to my dinner tonight. I've also stolen some of your foods and bought Gerkins and Baby Onion - Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Thanks again

I know I shouldn't be counting but..............................
ImLuuvd,
Thanks for the tips the cheese was a part of a wonderful hamper my wife bought me as a Christmas present
and as I sit here typing I can see some (plus crackers) in my lunch box for a snack tomorrow...............
In the UK we do not seem to have much of a choice on Low Fat Cheeses, if it's not cheddar it's not in the shop.
I like the idea of keeping an eye on the GI as up to now I have tried to stay away from adding some of the foods identified in Phase 2. I think it is a problem with me not wanting to break away from Phase 1.
I have a list of the GI foods from the book so will start to look at my snacks from it.
Thanks again and I hope you have a great 2008.
Cheers

I know I shouldn't be counting but..............................
I have just started to use the Food and Diet Journal and whilst I know I should not be counting my Calorie, Protein, Carbs and Fat intakes I am keen to make sure I use any tip possible to maximise my regime.
My average intakes are:
Exercise: 2218kcal
Food eaten: 1103kcal
Fat: 55.72g
Protein: 78.76g
Carb's: 75.72g
My feeling is my Carbs and Fat intake are too high............. I have looked at post in November called "South Beach and Carbs" and will be taking onboard the tips there especially the reducing the high fat and carb intakes.
Any tips on what I should do or is there a "rule of thumb" on what the above intakes should be?
Thanks for any tit-bit.

Starting tomorrow~any advise?
Welcome Skinny Mom and I'm sure your South Beach habits of the past will really help you this time around.
I've only been on SB for a couple of months and I think my two major tips would be 1. meal preparation i.e. get the right type of food in the larder (or fridge :0)) and 2. filling in your weight history on a regular basis as it gives you a real buzz to watching the pounds drop.
Best of luck with your efforts and don't be shocked when those great comments about how you look start coming in from family and friends.
Cheers
