Married 18 years...two teens and FAST approaching 40. My blood pressure was horrible and I know I was apathetic toward my diet and how I should be taking care of myself.

I started this in late February 2009 and with the Weight Watchers lifestyle (thanks to work buddies), I have since lost 20 lbs and have been making great strides to undo the punishment I have inflicted upon myself the last several years. I am a stress eater and have grown WAY too fond of beer to take the edge off the stressful life I lead.

My dad passed at 51 and I am REALLY not prepared to watch my life slip away when I can do something about it. A fatal heart attack in my 40s is not what I have in mind...and I knew I was headed that way.

Favorite Movies?
Gran Torino has become a fave of mine lately. I'm also a big fan of Iron Giant (you don't have to be a kid to enjoy this movie).

Favorite Song Lyrics - Take a few sentences or a paragraph of a favorite song and also give title
"Space Dye Vest" from Dream Theater.
Falling through pages of martens on angels
Feeling my heart pull west
I saw the future dressed as a stranger
Love in a space-dye vest

Love is an act of blood and Im bleeding
A pool in the shape of a heart
Beauty projection in the reflection
Always the worst way to start

Diet Soda addiction
I think I may start adding my Diet Dew intake to my food calendar. I know I probably average about 2 to 3 cans a day, and that's loaded with ice. It would be interesting to keep track of, though.

I'm just curious as to how long I can expect the water weight to last before my body adjusts. I have only allowed myself two servings of the Diet Dew per day...and I've had about 4 HUGE cups of water per day for about 3 or 4 days now.
