Hi my name is Dan, I am 44 years old and live in the state of Alaska. I came across FATSECRET by happenstance when I was looking up some info on Weight Watchers. I love the site because it does exactly what I need it to without having to join WW. I have had weight problems since I was in my early twenties. People always say I carry my weight well because of my height (6'6") but I knew I looked frumpy and was, as the old cliche goes, Sick and Tired of being Sick and Tired. I decided back in October that I would start making life changes in November and I did. I bought a Wii Fit, which I love, haven't used it to its capabilities and I went on Weight Watchers after years of making fun of point counters...it works and it's really quite easy to follow. Anyhow good luck to each and everyone of you...remember slow and steady is better than no and deady! Made that up myself kinda hokey but I like it.

Update: Dec 14 2009

I am down 37 pounds and today is weigh in day so I anticipate maybe down a full 40. That will give me 71 more to my goal of 220.

So today I am setting some short-term goals as follows:

50 lbs lost (281 lbs)**** Feb 4, 2010
60 lbs lost (271 lbs)
70 lbs lost (261 lbs)
80 lbs lost (251 lbs)
90 lbs lost (241 lbs)
100 lbs lost (231 lbs)
111 lbs lost I've reached my goal!

Update: Starting P90X on January 18th!
