Well, 2017 was good to me. Lots happened and I lost a bunch of weight. I did my best over the holidays, but with "try this" or "it's just a little breadcrumb" or "a little won't hurt you", I've gained a little. I try hate to disappoint people and I don't want to cause friction, so I guess that's why I'm in this situation. My sugars are up and so is my weight and I can't help but decided if I weren't such a pushover it wouldn't have happened. It's my family, they try real hard to "help" me, but actually have no clue as to what they are doing. I try to educate them, but everyone knows better then me (the one actually eating this WOE). I guess, I hate for them to go to so much trouble and not partake. The good news, they are all gone until next December, so I have a whole year to get back on track and focus on keeping my sugars down.
229.0 lb Lost so far: 21.0 lb.    Still to go: 49.0 lb.    Diet followed poorly.
gaining 0.5 lb a week

Mae, lovely new photo! You’re looking SO good!!🙋🏻Family and friends can be the hardest to retrain on the poison they want to feed us in the name if love and caring? LOL 🤷🏻‍♀️Something about stuffing your loved ones faces says I love you? I like to cook for people and see them eat so I’m guilty too, but I try not to cajole them into eating it anymore! LOL 🙇🏻‍♀️ But if you don’t tell them, they will never learn better manners about it and everyone will stay in that same position. Maybe something along the lines of, “I love you and can appreciate the love and care you put into the dish or food, but with my health, eating any of that will leave me fighting the effects for days after the holidays.” 💁🏻‍♀️Letting them know you value them but the impact on your health is too high a cost to pay for a small bite?
