Bluper's Journal, 09 October 2017

I just got back from a week in Galveston. I thought I ate the right stuff all week. I cooked all meals in our RV. But I gained! I don't know why I can't loose weight. I do everything right and I've stayed constantly in ketosis. I'm getting very discouraged. I also just found out my medicare advantage plan is dropping me. There are no other plans in my county for under 65 but disabled. Just medicare is going to kill me financially. Living in this town really sucks!

It would help a lot if we could see your food calendar to try and figure out what's going on. Don't get discouraged, we can collectively figure out what's happening here, but you need to log so we can analyze what's happening. Hang in there!

Sometimes just going out of town has that effect, even on keto. I'm not sure why... earth's energy? A disruption of the force? Not sure! Just stick with it and you'll get there.

I couldn't do my food blog while on vacation. No internet or cell service on the island we stayed on. I haven't eaten today. I'm not hungry yet.

Speaking from experience, Metabolic Syndrome is tough. I would guess that you are on a bunch of medication for Lupus that is not helping. I did peek at your food calendar and you are giving it your all! Don't get discouraged! It took my body a while to get in sync and then the weight started coming off slowly. I measured my waist when I did my weekly weigh in and that measurement took some time to start going down too. What I noticed is that the waist measurement started to decrease (small amount) and that was when I started to lose the weight. I can only speak from my personal experience. Have you discussed this with your Dr? Are you close at all to a pool? That is the best source to get some exercise to start out. So, don't give up, hang in there a little while longer. I feel for you and the insurance snafu.

Don't skip meals though. That will really mess up your weight loss.

Agee, don't totally skip meals. I'm not am expert, but adding small snacks in between smaller meals? Hang in there you'll get what's right for your body.

if you are doing keto, you may want to check out Dr. Berg. He's big on Ketosis and actually uses intermittent fasting with it to help drop the ponds faster and safer. skipping meals doesn't hurt esp if you do it on a set schedule. Your body won't go into starvation mode unless you don't eat for multiple days contrary to popular belief.
what was your IF schedule ? tell us something your thankful for today .

I am thankful every day for wonderful man God sent me 35 years ago. I don't have an IF schedule. I just don't always feel like eating.

Thanks all for your thoughts. My weight is depressing me. It took 20 years to gain it all so I guess it may take 20 to loose it.
