TinkerbellaAZ's Journal, 30 December 2007

Yeah, so I weighed myself this morning and I weighed 155.5 lbs. Yesterday was the first day in months that I absolutely stuck to the SBD again (except we boiled chicken hotdogs at the top of the mountain we climbed and I had two, everything else was SBD) coupled with even more excercize than normal. Yesterday the kids and I scaled a HUGE mountain range in Arizona that had no trails and lots of rock climbing involved. It was awesome. We had a picnic on top once we got tired and made hot dogs and hot cocoa. My kids said the food they ate tasted better than anything they've ever had...they were starving by the time we ate...eventhough they ate snacks as we climbed. Then I went biking on my own around the neighborhood, then I went on a walk with my kids around the neighborhood. It was great. I also did a couple sets of push ups, 15 in the morning and 20 at night. Oh, and I neglected to mention that I had a 30 lb ruck on my back all the way up the mountain....yeah, I'm sore. But despite that, I'm going on another bike ride today....I need my clothes to fit again! ;)
155.5 lb Lost so far: 2.5 lb.    Still to go: 16.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Hi there. I just wanted to say hi to a fellow Arizonian! I admire the rock climbing you did. You might have had hotdogs, but I'm sure the physical activity helped. While I've lost a lot of weight, there is no way I could do rock climbing. And 30 pounds on you back? You go girl

Aw wow... that rock climbing must have been awesome! Just climbing up the Tors on Dartmoor around here I used to get breathless... hopefully by next summer, I will be really able to notice the difference. You keep climbing though girl and those lbs will fall off. :o)

Thanks for the kind words, all! Yeah, hiking and rock climbing is one of my favorite things to do and yesterday was awesome! I'm going to Scotland this coming year as my graduation present to myself for finally finishing my Bachelor's Degree in Business Marketing! Woohoo! I already bought the plane tickets but had to concel them because my husband and kids couldn't get their passports renewed in time....so I just have to schedule new dates once their passports are here. So by the time I make it to your side of the ocean, Moon, our families will have to climb Tors on Dartmoor together, lol! Or maybe you guys can travel up to Glasgow...I can't wait to have an authentic PASTY! mmmmm!
