Yay! Down another little bit. That "low" day yesterday helped for sure! I really wish I had realized this last semester. That all it would take to stay in check with my diet was to PLAN AHEAD. Everyday I bring what my fiance refers to as my "arsenal" of food to work lol. It's great though b/c I'm also saving money. It's been over a month since I bought anything from the vending machines or our work's cafeteria.

I'm putting the money I'm saving by not spending $7 a day on lunch at work into a savings account. There is this chair that I really, really want from Pottery Barn so I'm going to reward myself with it when I have enough money save up from not blowing my money on crappy food.

My best friend and I are both doing WW together. I tried to get her to join this site but she's very ADD and said she can't remember to do it everyday like I do. Anyways, I'm trying to be supportive of her but it's hard when she's whining that she's soooo fat, when she's AT MY GOAL WEIGHT. Sorry. Just had to vent. :)

Anybody else going to a Superbowl party this weekend and freaking out about all the bad foods that will be tempting you? I know I am. Any advice on how to stay on track would be greatly appreciated! I seem to blow all my Flex Points over the weekend (and then some).

THREE THINGS I'M GRATEFUL FOR TODAY:

1)My pants fitting looser
2)My mom telling me that I looked good, like I lost weight
3)A man who will get up early and clean off the snow from my car for me so I don't have to.

HAPPY WEDNESDAY!!!

Take some of the things that you can eat, or just eat the fresh veggies and limit yourself to what you can eat. Say like 15 chips with a salsa dip and 1 hamberger without the bun with fresh toppings. and drink water often between you drink of a diet soda or a low cal drink.

Love that about the chair. I did that one week and got myself a food scale (which I LOVE). I was thinking I should do something longer term. It's a great motivator to save. (Just hope I don't have to raid it for an emergency.) And I would lose patience with your friend, too. Sorry. Hope you don't mind me saying that. But I am as ADD as it comes and I manage to come on here. (Clearly my ADD keeps me here a little too long but that is a different story.) The thing is that you aren't going to lose weight unless you are READY to commit and you have the motivation in yourself. People who are waiting for the magical weight loss fairy to drop down from the heavens just aren't going to get there. I am trying to apply this lesson to other areas and it's a struggle. But--well. Lost my train of thought. ;) Yay about compliments from your Mom. Compliments from my mom always sound like a little of a reproach so I hope yours was all nice.

Wahoo for the ever declining numbers!!! Also, what a wonderful thing to find someone dusted off your car!! No superbowl party for me ... and I too find that bringing an arsenal of food with me whereever I may travel is a BIG help!!! Much fewer temptations to grab whatever is handy!! And definitely a money saver!!

I am worried about Superbowl too... My plan is to get to the gym first thing in the morning and get a good calorie burning workout in (I always have better willpower when I go to the gym) I think will I make a pretty hearty egg white omelet (3 eggs whites & 1 yoke) a little ham and maybe some fresh salsa. I will bring some fresh veggies with hummus and my own water bottle (I tend to carry one with me these days to make sure I get enough water which makes me feel more full) I have also been keeping almonds in my purse just in case I get really hungry and that has been helping a lot and keeping me from over eating. All in all, if we go to the party with some food in our bellies (and as your fiancé says “arsenal”) I think that will start us out on the right foot, bring a health snack, make good choices, remember our long term goals,we will be armed and dangerous! Good Luck and keep your eye on the prize!

Chris I have faith in you and although there may be some temptations I know you are strong enough to do this. Don't make yourself suffer just limit what you are having. Make sure you keep up your work outs too. You are doing so awesome. Your friend should join up anyway, just give it a try and see what she thinks but Beets is right you have to have the motivation and maybe she's just not ready yet.
