Good morning all, today I'm disappointed in this half pound loss stuff. In her book, Ann Louise suggests weighing in every week, rather than daily- this probably is why. I have to turn this negative into a positive though & I am determined, so I'm going to pick up my exercise which definately has been lagging. I am limited because I've got several herniated disks from a car accident, but I will figure something out as I really want to drop these pounds forever and be healthy. Anyone have experience with using supplements for this diet that aren't from unikey? I'm especially wondering about the gla- black currant seed oil. your experience would help! thanks
185.5 lb Lost so far: 6.5 lb.    Still to go: 73.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

You can use an evening primrose. That is what I used at first instead of the black currant seed oil. Also make sure you get a CLA this will help get rid of the fat while you lose weight.

A half-pound a day is GREAT! I'm celebrating my half-pound loss each of the last two days. That's 3.5 pounds a week or approximately 15 pounds a month. Please remember... You didn't put it on in a day. It's going to take more than that to lose it. Hang in there!!! If you do, you'll make it to your goal.

Holy cow! You have lost a lot of weight in one week. The first few weeks are usually like that and then weight loss slows down. The slower you take it off, the more chance you have of keeping it off. I am lucky to get half a pound a week. You are doing great! Good luck!

I don't know what you expect to lose each day, but a half pound is STILL A LOSS!! You didn't put the weight on overnight and it won't come off that way either. You could be in my shoes where you are following the diet and only losing a pound or less A MONTH!! Be happy with the small losses or you are going to find it very difficult to stick with the plan when your weight loss slows or you plateau.

Try not to be disappointed about losing a half a pound. When that happpens to me, I go to my closet and try on clothes that I know I can't fit yet. When I see that the blouse or dress fits a little better on me than the week before, it makes me feel REAL GOOD, and I can't stop myself from smiling! :-) JUST REMEMBER: YOU ARE STILL LOSING INCHES!!! Keep your head up!!! :-)
