Having another bowel flare-up from all the anxiety over the weekend. Now I am mad at Mom for this because she said she would not help me unless she is my payee. I feel trapped and need to get out of her grip. I think it is time, but I cannot manage shopping and classes once school is in session. My classes are my first priority, even if it means I go longer without a shopping trip.

Mom won't teach me how to manage my funds so I know what to do when I get the first paycheck after graduation. I do not think Social Security would want to see me like this. It is time for the payee to be changed and cut her off totally. I have been hurt by her so many times I do not care anymore. If I never speak to her or see her again, I will be happier and more relaxed. It is time to cut her loose and celebrate the holidays like the Catholic that I am.

Question. Why can't you manage classes & shopping? Managing money/budgeting is just elementary math; identifying income & necessary monthly expenses (money in vs money out) and there's plenty of classes online to help. Curbside pickup at stores is best thing to come out of covid. You can do this!❣️

I am on the autism spectrum. I also have epilepsy and anxiety. My nervous system is very sensitive due to these problems. Executive function is a common problem with autism. I can't drive a car, either, due to lack of attention span, so I use ADA paratransit. I also get extra support from my school, including tutoring, coaching, and communication help. Fitting these appointments into my week is essential for me to do well in school. School takes up a lot of my time when it is in session for these reasons. Also, I have had a rep payee all this time managing my funds for me. I have not been taught yet. I can write out a budget; it is sticking to the budget I get stuck at. There are a few places I can walk to in my area, including Church, Rite Aid, Target, and my hair salon. Everywhere else I need the transit district to pick me up, meaning shopping takes more time and I can only take up to 4 bags and my folding carriage on the bus. Which for me means at least 2 trips per month; 1 to BJ's Club and 1 to Big Y in Shelton, CT. I need to make this transition slowly or I am not going to get everything done.

Dave Ramsey has a good budget which is easy to use. It might help you.

You can consider a company to be your payee; that would take the emotion out of it and as mentioned above - order online and have groceries delivered… don’t give up - you have options
