Thanks. I am still on the fence about this diet. If you look at last months diet calendar clearly the calorie deficit supports my weight loss numbers, about a half pound a day. Which still makes me wonder if it all boils down to calories and what you eat doesnt matter purely for weight loss. Now HEALTHY weight loss is a different animal lol...... My son is drinkng a bit now and ate some grpes this morning that stayed down thank god. We had a few hairy moments during the night but he seems to have turned the corner. I dont care how experienced a parent you are its still scary as hell when the wee ones get sick. I most likely wont be around much today again but Ill pop in to record and stalk your posts. For Friday and the weekend I would like to do a recipe thread of your favorite or go to diet snacks. Greatly appreciate anyone who wants to contribute. I am a firm believer that a well timed snack can head of diet disasters.

Your hard work and commitment to your eating plan are reaping GREAT rewards. Totally agree with your statement about parenting and sick children (and really...any problems in their lives). Sincere best wishes for your son and all of you to soon be back in your regular, preferred routines.

I believe the biggest factor with weight loss is the number of calories consumed vrs number of calories burned. However I also think that an abundance of simple carbs, especially in the absence of fiber or protein, can negatively affect weight loss or result in stored fat. Intermittent fasting seems to be able to help with burning fat also. Each of us are different and we have to figure out what works best for us, including the balance of macros in our diet. Just my opinions of course, based on my experience.

Intermittent Fasting in my experience has been outstanding. I completed an 8 day Water Only Fast. Now many people would see this as extreme (it was also easy to do due to a break in work schedule)…..But it TAUGHT me so much about Hunger and the nature of hunger. Our dependence on Food and EMPTY calories. Since the fast I have been following a CRON method of eating. Calorie Restriction with Optimal Nutrition-- What this means is that everything we put in our Mouth has HIGH NUTRITION VALUE---- I use Cronometer website and measure my nutrition intake. Once I did my Water Fast…I understand HUNGER way more then i ever did and it has allowed me to manage it better…..

I am intrigued by CRON . Makes a lot of sense. What is a typical day like on CRON? Do you intermittent fast on CRON?
