I have a fasting timer thingy that helps me keep track! When I fast, it's liquids only (limit ONE carb drink per day just to make sure I don't crash tf out), mostly water though. If you want, I could try to send you a screenshot of that app page somehow? @wannabhealthier recommended it to me and I fricken love it! Can't wait to start a 5:2 regimen with doctor approval! ☺️

I'm OK thanks though I'm not looking to lose any additional weight and fasting wouldn't support my lifestyle. But that's the great thing there are so many different approaches to this and it sounds like you found something that works for you 👍keep it up

What sucks is that I had to try literally everything else to find the solution. Atkins? Nope, need more carbs. Keto? Outta the question, need carbs. Vegan/vegetarian diet? Can't do that, need animal protein for muscle repair... and we use butter... not to mention texture issues with certain foods. So, after my unintentional fast yielded impressive results, it got me thinking "Hey... this could be beneficial. Let's ask my doctors what they think." So hopefully my doc is on board with it because I get to talk to them tomorrow. Maybe it'll even help with some of the concern areas from my last blood test. lol

I do a less intense intermittent fast. 14hrs every day. Dinner before 6p. Breakfast after 8a. It is all about calorie reduction. My eating window is 10hrs daily. Any technique that works for you is a good technique.

I do 3 meals a day no snacking. Like Penderg, there is about 14 hours between dinner and breakfast. Fasting and structuring mealtimes is great because it helps you plan your meals instead of being a 24-7 feeding machine!

Thank you all so much for the tips! Having ADHD makes it a pain to schedule things into precise time blocks, hence I set alarms for... literally everything. I think sticking to 1500 calories on a normal day creates a comfortable deficit (not starving but not putting pounds on either), thus creating a calorie deficit that I *think* would qualify as CICO? I feel it's also important to pay attention to, and experiment with, what macros you're getting because my goal is to burn fat, not simply lose weight. I know I have a lotta fat mass to burn off and it's gonna feel better once most of it is gone... so keeping my protein up is gonna be important so I can at least maintain my current muscle strength. Might change my macros up slightly and actually try to stick to them, idk. lol
