178.8 today, down 1 lb from yesterday.

No feast yet ... but I did have a small chocolate chip cookie, free give-away at the bakery counter in the grocery store last night after work. Bad bakery counter!! LOL!!! At home though, after dinner I had cantaloupe, so healthy.

I am having teeth issues ... aching jaw ... guess I'm going to have to break down and go see my dentist. I've been putting it off for a while, just seems like one thing after another and dentists are soooo expensive, even with insurance.

Not much else to say this morning. I continue to work on being "in the moment" and not stressing about "when" or "if" I'll ever reach 175. No news on the hubby health front either ... there is an appointment scheduled for the urologist a week from today ... so we may learn more then. For now ... let's have a good enough day today!! (Okay, not quite my positive self but I am working on it!!)

That's a nice little loss to hold you steady while you plan your next move. :-) Re: Dentist. Speaking from recent experience, a couple of cavities and a trip to a specialist for a deep cleaning set me back about $2500 the last time, and I couldn't even notice the before and after difference at all. I think it's a racket. ;-) Unless there is something to do, if you feel unhappy, immediately change your focus to something else. It's such a fine line between being happy and being unhappy. Have a great day my friend.

If I wasn't in pain I'm afraid I would still be avoiding the dentist. However, the pain is not subsiding so I made an appointment. They always want to do more than I want them to do. Fortunately I really like my dentist and they are pretty good at accepting my boundaries and reluctance!!

I'm not a real fan of dentists either, and am LONG overdue for an office visit. LOL. But if you need one, you need one. So take care of yourself. :-)

I am so proud of you taking care of yourself. You need to try to focus on you and give yourself a break from the stress. Of course I have not idea what that might be but I will work on it. Love you.

Ok, please don't think I am a weirdo, but years ago I was supposed to have periodontal work, and got this book instead - http://www.albrite.com/contents.html - our family friend had just had all his teeth removed due to the failure of periodontal work, and he is a cardiac surgeon who was trying to do the right thing - 40 years old and no teeth! Anyway, I did find a dentist who uses the book's methods and my teeth are now in incredible shape without major surgery. A good saltwater rinse might help alleviate the pain, and make sure you are really well hydrated as dehydration can affect your gums too. Good Luck!

Abba ... I don't think you are a weirdo at all!!! I'll check it out. Unfortunately I think I actually have a bum tooth not just gum disease. So ... I'll still need to go to the dentist but most likely will not sign up the the "deep cleanings" I'm sure they will recommend.

I did the scaling myself last year and it made a huge difference. I am not a dentist person either but I want to keep my teeth so I did it. It was not all that bad really. No insurance and it was about $1100 with one small filling that I needed. I was also grinding at one time which caused jaw pain...stress and all that...good luck with your "work!"
