This is super ambitious, especially since I am horrible at self control and I have so much to lose. But it can be done and I believe I can do it. I'm so sick of hating myself and being so self conscious. Time to make a change and to do it for me!

You deserve to feel good about yourself. This is a good place to be. People always seem to be online and they are super helpful and motivational. I'm just starting out myself and already finding recording everything here is making a HUGE difference for me mentally

I understand about needing to feel good about yourself. I'm finally getting to that point myself. Real people size pants, fitting in chairs again. It's the small victories that make the difference. May I suggest joining a challenge? It's very motivating competing against the challenge (not each other). It has done wonders for me, but I'm competitive by nature.

When the amount of pounds seem overwhelming make small goals of 5 or 10 lbs and reward yourself when you reach them, like with a new book or music cd or whatever you like. It makes it seem so much more attainable and before you know it you will have reached your goal. Inch by inch is a cinch :)
