Debbie Cousins's Journal, 26 October 2022

Good morning, all. Scale didn't budge this morning, but that's ok. I did what I was supposed to yesterday: kept my calories between 1,350 and 1,450 calories at 1,352; walked 1.3 miles in the house and at BJ's, got in my 20g of Fiber; logged everything I ate; checked the Challenge Forum and posted a new article about Low-Intensity Exercises. It lists all of the FatSecret exercises that you can do for as little as one minute and get exercise credit. For any who are interested, here is the link to read the article:

https://www.fatsecret.com/challenges/daily-accountability-2022-43/Forum.aspx

There's also a good article there called "Avocados - Your Fiber Friend." You can get to it with the same link. The Challenge Forum is available for any FS member to read - you don't have to join the challenge to read the Forum or to post on it.

Had hematology appointment yesterday. I go every six months to make sure my Ferratin levels are good. If they're not, I have to get an iron infusion, but I haven't had to have one of those in about three years. I drank 3-1/2 bottles of water before I went so my veins would be plumped up. I'm usually a very hard stick and they often have to get a second person to try to get my blood. This time, he was able to get it on the first time, and the bruise is less than 1/2" in diameter! A good day.

Today is psychiatrist appointment. I do those every 3-4 months for my prescriptions for anti-depressants and mood stabilizers and sleep aids. The psychiatrist I was seeing just retired, so I'll be someone new. I really liked the other guy. Hope I'll have a good rapport with the newbie.

Ok, the one sugar-free candy I had this morning is working on me, PTL, so gotta run, lol!

Thanks @NAVYWIFESKI. The new person was very nice and I liked her. I won't be seeing her again, though, because she was just filling in for the other person they assigned me to (who is out on maternity leave). I'm usually pretty good about getting blood drawn UNLESS they try to take it out of my hand! I have very sensitive hands, and it really hurts most of the time. When I went to my regular doctor last week, they couldn't get it out of my arm, but the girl who did it in my hand was very gentle, and it just pinched for a second, PTL!

Great news! Hopefully, you will like the real replacement. Never had it drawn from my hands. Sounds scary! I just don’t like anything medical really! You are strong!:)👍

Hope you like your new psychiatrist. For those of us who know personally, that is soooo important.
