Dont keep “bad stuff” in your house. When you buy it you are already planning on eating it.

Kenna, Thank you for your help

maybe try stocking a drawer/cupboard with special snacks just for evening. NO JUNK though! 100 calorie baggies pre-made & measured...then take small bites (try to make it last) 👍✌

I believe there are some trigger foods that don't belong in your house if you can't resist them. If you want to have them you will have to get in your car and drive to the market get out of the car walk into the store wait in line to buy the item all at night. LOL

while I don't eat much "bad stuff", I do tend to have large meals, which then creates the same nighttime snack problem. I haven't found a solution yet, seems to be a willpower issue with me. Maxing my cals daily lately. ⚖️🤔

You have done so well and you are still doing well. I am a hopeless night eater and I know I do it for emotional reasons and I just have to process those. I try to move my last meal to late and make it ma=y heaviest and include a dessert. If you like fruits they can be good snacks

I can't speak from current success, but when I was successful a number of years ago, I would allow myself the bad stuff but only after I exercised for 30 minutes. A couple of things happened - 1) many times the craving would pass. 2) I would reconsider offsetting the positive of exercise by the bad food or 3) If I went ahead with the bad thing, at least it was somehwat offset. Good luck. We are doing more than most people for our health, so we are all ready ahead.

I have given up on trying to curb the need for another meal - that is what it is - the caloric count daily is so low that you cannot expect your system to keep going and going on such a lower food input and just eat nothing but stored fat. I have started making any required night eating ... another small meal - put in another 200 calories - as in --- I eat my dinner at about 5 or 6 and by 3 am - I have about 9 hours without any intake ... my old mummy body is getting pretty hungry about that time - so a glass of water - how about 4 saltine crackers with a tablespoon of peanut butter --- or a hard boiled egg --- more protein helps to negate that hunger hormone arising. Hang in there - just adjust it around for your own purposes --- You Got This. You got this Brenda !!!

Where is APNG when you need him -- (At BurgerKing eating croissants) as APNG states - The day does not end at 5 pm and ... If you are actually hungry - Then eat food. It kind of makes sense if you think about it.

Jergens... Feel the same about minimal cals. Seen posts about night snacks being for rookies, but I don't care, I prefer comfort, and I enjoy the meals and snacks...why suffer? What're you doing up at 3am anyway!? I used to work those hours, came natural after my twenties...😂

We have a meal at 8:00 at night called "Last Chance to Eat" and it's worked into our daily eating plan so we aren't rummaging around in the fridge for whatever looks good. It's a light "meal" like a bowl of popcorn and a glass of milk and after that, we're not allowed to eat until morning. My son and I police each other.

I would like to Thank everyone and I took all of your advice and I took all the junk food and put it in a drawer for my husband and it's his drawer and last night no junk food.

me too Brenda. I finally had a good (disciplined) week this last week, lost what I had gained and made it to a new low. I want to maintain the discipline and make my goal. Then I'll relax again to maintain as I had been.
