Last night I guess was hilarious, but I had angry eyes at my husband part of the night. He was supposed to put in the address of the restaurant in Waze instead he put in the address of the parking lot of the restaurant. He wanted to make sure we got parking, because he knew Newport Beach is super crowded. We got to where the parking lot was supposed to be and we couldn’t figure it out! We went around the block at least four times before we finally figured it out. Once in the almost empty parking lot, we had to pay. So you park your car, then you walk to a little machine and you have to put in all sorts of data and your credit card. He nor I could remember the license plate# so I had to walk back to the car take a picture of the plate, return and enter it. Then we stood there trying to figure out how long we were going to be parked there, finally we got everything entered, and had to walk back to the car again, to set the little ticket we had gotten on the dashboard. 🙁
Waze was telling us we still needed to walk now a few minutes to the restaurant, so we started walking not really knowing what direction. I decided to follow a guy, the only other guy in the that lot. We found the restaurant went inside, I needed a drink, because he was going to now move the car again, as there was an empty parking lot right behind the restaurant and it was free. 😧
Enjoying my drink we finally walked around and walked around the restaurant and couldn’t find our party. He called his boss and his boss said we’re here, we’re in the back, so we looked in the back, there was no back to this restaurant that held about 20 tables. I don’t know how a party could fit in there and we’d miss it. After a long time trying to figure it out, my husband realize it was the wrong address, but the right name! 😒
The same restaurant was further down in Newport. So now we had to get back in the re-parked car, and navigate our way down to the other restaurant which took a long time we missed turnoffs - it was just crazy mess.☹️
We were very late, once we got there, of course we made a scene as everybody focused in on us because we were so very late, it was embarrassing!😔
I snuck off and got another little drink because I needed it, the waitress looked at me and asks, what’s wrong, answering, we’ve been at the other restaurant for a long long time and she started laughing.😕
Everybody had ordered so Al was asking me at the bar, what do you want, I said just get me what you’re having I don’t really care.
I no longer cared what I looked liked, I just wanted to sit down, and not be so intrusive any longer.😕
Of course, when we’re finally seated and I had met all the people, here comes our dinner, very loud sizzling fajitas and it was very embarrassing because we were the only ones with that crazy loud food! 😮 I just kept sipping my drink! 😬
Plus, there wasn’t enough table space for all the sides it came with, Brother! He just wasn’t sensible!😳
I really liked the people I meant, and I like the guys that I was seated next to, they were very funny. 👍
The top I wanted to wear didn’t get here till real late, so I wore a cute top I forgotten I had, no one saw it anyway, as it was under a sweater, it was so so cold last night! 🥶
Well, that’s my big night out in about five years! I enjoyed the embarrassing sizzling fajitas, didn’t eat anything else, not the sides nor the tortillas. Did enjoy the people and the dinner.🙂
You know you're getting old as Al told me one guy really enjoyed me, as I reminded him of his loving mother.😲 My life has gone from hot to MamaShrew.😑
So far, this is the oldest I've been!
Topped off the night by getting the hiccups that lasted all night long!🥴
💕Thank you for all the encouragement and well wishes, when it came right down to it I enjoyed the night, but not the insane hassle of getting there. 😖
