Being below goal before vacation had become my new normal, so this is a welcome sight today 😊

Hubby decided to try a walk yesterday afternoon with the dogs & I even though his foot still hurt. He suffers with occasional bouts of gout. The meds to alleviate the pain & help the swelling made him nauseous this morning. Thankfully some Dramamine & a lie down helped. He is not overweight at all....not sure what triggered this episode.

A couple of amusing things today. We don't do extravagant gifts anymore but I had a wrapped box on the kitchen table when I came down this morning. He bought me a DeskFone phone holder! This amused me....and I'm sure him....cause everytime the commercials come on for the CupFone he said he was going to buy me one. I said I don't need one....and don't want one. My car has a Bluetooth handsfree connection...I don't even have to take my phone out of my purse. Well in spite of also not "needing" the desktop model I kinda like it 🙄 He's always reminding me to sit up straight & not hold my phone in my lap when we're sitting at the breakfast table.
The other amusing thing was we bought each other the exact same card. Guess the sentiments must be true 😊💕

I didn't post any pics of dinner last night. It was taking a long time for the chicken to roast in the oven & it was getting late. I finally took it out & started slicing bits off (butchering it) and I popped it in the microwave to be sure it was done. By that time it wasn't especially pretty & we were hungry. It tasted good, though. Made oven roasted Brussels sprouts, red peppers, onions, & mushrooms as a side.

We're going to a local seafood restaurant for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. Planning to be seated on the outside porch, to eat. I'm going to wear my new dress....I even painted my toenails red to match the red & white print 😀
144.6 lb Lost so far: 28.2 lb.    Still to go: 9.6 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
