Intermittent fasting

Thank you. JC. I am staying away from all sugar, starch , and anything made from grain. With this prednisone That's the only way I can do it. .

Flabbyflaps, That was my nickname growing up. I was so skinny and I could not gain weight. I did everything to put on some pounds. But to no avail. Everybody made fun of me. I was 100 pounds with my first child. I would drink milkshakes, I would eat donuts. By the time he was ready to be born, I had gained 40 lbs in my pregnancy. I have five children now. After everyone was born I went back down to 115 lbs. When I got very ill 20 years ago with cancer, they put me on all kinds of drugs. I also had Rheumatoid Arthritis. I've been on steroids for 20 years & I put on all these weight. I'm trying to get healthy now.💙Thanks

Good morning skinny, it’s a long story but Iam also taking steroids.I understand your frustration. You are definitely doing a lot to get healthy. Well done for you. We can do this together.

Good morning Najwa, Yes, we can do this together. There are many people on here with different health issues and many are taking prescription drugs trying to get healthy. That's what I found out on this FS app. I admire everybody that's on here that wants to do better and get healthy. If they didn't want to get healthy they wouldn't be on here. It's good to encourage one anothers so we don't give up. Thank you Clairesheart, I will follow you and we will encourage one another too. I'm trying to get into an exercise plan that I'll be able to do. My lower body can move somewhat, but my upper body needs a lot of joint replacements. And the rotator cuffs to be repaired on both shoulders. Blessings to you both!

I’m doing 16/8 intermittent fasting. It’s terrific! Very manageable. 👍

19/5, Has worked for me. And it is not hard. . About 400 calories each meal. Never hungry. I do not intentionally eat fat. The fat comes from my meat. The carbs I eat are not. Starch or bread or sugar.

Janan, I try and keep my calories between 800 and 1000 A day. Because of my age and my health issues I am very sedentary. I have not done much activity for 3 years. I am on a lot of medication that causes me to gain weight. . When I plug in my numbers. I'm around. 1400 a day. If I deduct 500 then I would be at 1000 . I try and stay around 800, but I have some flexibility up to a thousand.
