Baby steps 😊 Just .2 lower than a few days ago when I thought I'd be breaking into the 150's. I feel for all of you that have gone into this journey and lost 50...100....or more lbs. I set a goal to lose 17 lbs. in July. Hoping to hit my goal by the end of September (my birthday) I set a goal of 10 lbs. by the end of July and was close. When I first came back to FS in July I didn't really have a time limit other than losing a few lbs. before my beach trip. Anyway, I am so proud of those of you that have stayed the course and hit those big goals. Just 8 weeks in and it feels like I've been at this awhile. I realize that if I don't want to be back here again trying to lose that same 17 lbs. or more it doesn't ever really end...just becomes a different phase.
I did get up and join my husband & 2 dogs on their afternoon walk yesterday 😊 I used to walk with them everyday, but have gotten out of the habit. Our neighborhood is quite hilly, including our long driveway. It is not an easy walk which I know is a good thing. Hubby makes the walk twice a day if weather permits. He usually does the AM walk while I'm still asleep. I am not an early riser. I need to motivate myself to do the afternoon walk everyday again. Especially since cooler weather will soon mean I won't be getting exercise outside gardening.
My sisters & I do a couple of Fall Festivals every year in September & October. If I don't get "in shape" all the walking we do do on those days can kick my butt 😁 Seriously!
