I am so disgusted with myself. Gained 5 pounds since 7/12/19 and can't seem to get back on track!!! I lost control this summer and haven't been able get it back. Today is my 6 mth Doctor appointment and back in February my goal was to be in the 160's by the time I saw him again. In July that looked attainable, now here I am headed back the other way again. What is wrong with me??? Find myself toying with the idea of trying low carb/keto again. I just find that so limiting. Need to do something. I know I need to commit and stick with something :(

Marylpn, instead of looking back with disgust and beating yourself up, try to look forward with pride for what you have accomplished. No, it isn't as much as you had hoped, but you have made SOME progress, and, therefore, you have something to build on. Today is a new day, take a deep breath and a step forward on your journey. We are all on this path together, and we are here to support you in your efforts. I, too, find keto too limiting, so I count calories. I'm averaging about 1500 calories and I've lost almost 40 pounds in 5 months. Remember, this is a marathon, not a sprint, slow and steady really adds up over time, and, if you work at it, you will develop healthy eating habits along the way that will last you a lifetime. You CAN do this, I'm pulling for you! Good luck on your journey. 💚💛💜

Thank you Shirfleur1 for you kind words of encouragement. What an accomplishment for you!!! 40 pounds in 5 month, absolutely amazing and inspiring! Do you find that you have cut down on any particular food group or are you counting calories period? I won't give up, just need to make up my mind to eat less, eat healthier and be aware of what I am putting in my mouth and if it is worth the calories/points. I need to try to post here more often, such a great group!!

We're in the same boat. I have been struggling since January. I get angry with myself for a moment as my weight has gone into the 180's. I have to remind myself that I'd have to weigh over 300 lb to say that I actually gained weight. All it means is that I've only lost 120 lbs instead of 130 lbs.

At our last meeting the leader asked which of the members had a weight journey line that only went down. Needless to say, not one hand was raised. We all have gone through stretches of gaining. The tools you have will work for you if you use them. Starting with the fact that you recognize your backslide and are working to fix it. Summer is always rough - I gained 10 lbs and am still working my way back down. You'll get there.

You recognized it. A quote from my all time movie... “ I can’t worry about this now, after all, tomorrow is another day.” You can do this and it doesn’t have to be painful. Try everything you see here until you find what suits you❤️

I'm doing keto.. so your not alone... I love to cook so I look forward to finding ways to make regular dishes keto friendly.. like keto cauliflower "potato" salad with no potato in it.. just keep working at.. I'm much heavier.. I'm down to 347lbs.. I would give anything to be in the 160's.. I wouldn't even consider that a weight issue.. so I'm guess I'm trying to say it's not so bad.

Thank you all so much!!! Each and every one of you are such an inspiration to me!!! I am back on track thanks to you. My Doctor said basically the same thing rmc907, stay in the present and focus on today, one day at a time. I see him in in 3 months for BP check, if all goes well will eliminate my BP medicine. Gives me another reason to set a mini goal to lose 10 pounds minimum by next appt. I am also going to post her every Friday to keep me accountable. Thankful to be on this journey with such a supportive, inspirational group of people!!
