I wouldn't worry about it. If you are sticking to plan it should work out. I gave in and ate the chocolates my sister gave me for watching her dog for a week. 4 pieces of candy and the scale showed +3 pounds the next day. I know that won't last since I was back on plan the next day.

Stay away from sugars. Sugar is worse than fat. Pre-packaged food is filled with sugar

I stay away from peanut butter, myself, and some dairy (HWC, mostly). That seems to get the needle moving!

Kara- Don't spend money on a nutritionist. Start counting your calories! Switching the calories from candy bars to fruit, cheese and peanut butter isn't going to make a difference if you are eating more than you should... They still add up whether you are getting them from a source you feel is a "more healthy" food. And yes- working an overnight shift will screw up your weigh in but not any real affect on it. Be cautious about people who aren't able to get to their goal weight giving you advice. I eat sugar every day. I just ate toast with butter and jelly. Unless you go overboard with cravings when you eat something with too much fat and carbs- just count your calories and eat whatever the hell you want and try to get a decent amount of protein. Move around a little more. It will drop off so quickly! But unless you are weighing and measuring your food- the calories add up fast. You can do it! I am excited to see you succeed. DO IT!!

Yes, it is important to weigh and measure your food. Read the nutrition labels and log your food here everyday. Whatever your diet is, stick to it. I'm in the no sugar camp; I don't even eat fruit most days. Carbs make me hungry, so I avoid them. Unlike Davidsprincess, I can't just eat a little jam and quit, it makes me binge. Over time, you will figure out what works best for you. Some people give up dairy; I do better without it, but float in and out of the cheese camp. Read up on Intermittent Fasting and consider restricting the hours that you eat in a day; that gives your body time to drop insulin levels and burn fat.

Are you weighing all of your food? Protein is the last thing you want to reduce. The higher your protein the lower your net calories.
