Day 1 of a planned 5 days of ‘no solid food’ fasting

Day 4 of 14 days of the "Challenge" with @SharonsVictory: No 'Binging' (more than 100 carbs) for two weeks

👍🏾 Made my goal of keeping my carbs below 100 😁
👎🏾 Did not make my ‘stretch goal’ of keeping my protein below 100 🥺 However, I reduced the amount of ‘excess’ protein

Starting Monday at 172lbs is better than last week when I had to start at 174lbs. I found it easy to keep my carbs under 100g a day, but, keeping carbs and protein below 100g each was reaaaaly hard (impossible) for me.

It is interesting looking at the calories. When I reduce my macros (carbs, protein, fat) the calories go down (these days calories are computed using carbs = 4, protein = 4, and fat = 9 calories per gram). This makes it seem like reduce calories and lose weight. Reducing calories generally will lead to weight loss, but I know from my own experience that I could have hit the same calorie intake with a lot more carbs and protein and the scale would have gone up.

For the next 5 days I plan to do my normal ‘no solid food fast’ where I primarily consume only low carb protein drinks in heavy cream. My average carbs will be under 20g and my average protein will be around 60g. My calories will be around 1k.

@SharonsVictory will have to ‘dig in’ this week to keep up her end of the “challenge” (for her no more than 2k in calories), because I will be on cruise control until the weekend 😁
