Three days of gains in a row guys...that hasn't happened to me since I started again in November! I know it's probably too many calories. The calculators all say that I can eat 1500-1700 and still lose 1 pound a week but I'm thinking that isn't right. I feel like I'm not losing unless I'm much lower. I need some of my mathy people I follow to look at what in the heck is going on with me. My steps weren't great but FS says my deficit has been at least 2200 cals even on my bad days but...I'm not losing!!! I will try to keep it together and just focus on going back down to 1300 calories a day and see if that helps.
292.7 lb Lost so far: 40.3 lb.    Still to go: 92.7 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

Could be something you are eating or the time you are eating. At the beginning of the week I was losing weight pretty steady and then I had a piece of cheese in an omelet and a Fathead Biscuit and bloated up like a balloon and started holding water weight in insane amounts. I've been 4 lbs up for 4 days. I fasted all day yesterday and finally seeing it come back down. Change up what you're eating and see if you notice a difference. I'm sensitive to grains, and apparently whatever cheese they used in that omelet, and that set me back almost a week. Hang in there. Everyone is different and it takes a while to figure it out.

It could also be the usual hormonal changes too. Weight fluctuations are normal for everyone, but those with more of the "female hormones", such as estrogen seem to have the biggest swings especially as we march ever onward toward menopause and our hormones are REALLY out of whack.

When you are stressed (which having EIGHT teeth pulled, and facing surgery definitely count as!), your body releases cortisol, which makes you hold onto weight. Also, with the "liquid diet," you may be consuming a lot more salt than "normal" for you. Don't worry - everything will balance out in the end, and you are on your way to a healthy weight VERY SOON! Be sure to take BEFORE pictures! The "worse" they look, the more proud you'll be of them when people can't even believe that was you!

Thanks guys, the comments do help, even though I'm still complaining every time I gain!

The calculator of Fat Secret is not accurate for me. FS recommends me 1600 Kcal, which I know it's BS. I have to be on 1200ish Kcal to lose weight.

I am 75 and have been to so many groups, plans, doctors etc. I could never lose by what the charts say. I have to eat around a 1000 cal of healthy food to lose at all. I gain if I go up to 1200. It has happened over and over so know this is right for me. My nutritionist agrees too. I am sedentary mostly due to 4 spurs, bad knee, and fibromyalgia so not much exercise. My problem is sugar. I can lose 5 pounds in a week and than slows down and will go on a sugar binge and gain it back. Ugh but I am excited about starting this challenge especially during Valentine's week and 2 Valentine luncheons all out of town while staying with a friend. It will be an interesting week.

I think even if you're sitting around you should be able to eat that calorie range you stated...I wouldn't drop your calories...try to eat as little processed/packaged foods as possible and drink lots of water. Make 100% sure you're strictly weighing and measuring all food to ensure you're getting exactly how many calories you're estimating (no eye ball guesses on size). Also give the scale time to catch up to your lifestyle change...personally, my body will maintain for weeks and sometimes gain when I first start and I have to patiently wait and just keep doing what I'm doing and then BAM I'll lose 3lbs over night. You just have to make 100% sure you're in fact eating what you think you are and then just keep going by faith

It shouldn't be too much longer before your body full adopts to the new way of eating (and living) - rooting for you!
