Not sure why. Seem to be wrestling with getting myself to the "real" gym and not orange theory. I have been there before. Feeling like a kid again at the first day of school. I have an orange theory class this afternoon but need to step out of my comfort zone.

The fasting is going well. Yesterday was a 9-7 which I found difficult because lunch is my favorite (hungriest) meal of the day. But I completed and have two more 9-7 to go today and tomorrow. My body seems to be responding well and I am recording another low, which is super exciting.

The fasting seems to grant me extra time to focus on what I will eat when I "break" my fast leading to much more positive food choices. I also feel empowered by being able to control my hunger. I am hoping the losses will keep sliding my way, I am confident they will if my confident self can confidently walk into the frickin' gym. :)

I love my OTF - and I also have thought of real gym for lifting heavier weights but I seem to do well at OTF and then reconsider

so in what sense is the otf not a real gym? I know nothing (like Jon Snow)

I love OTF too! I am just starting to feel like I don't concentrate enough on the lifting part because of the amount of time they give you? I am definitely not giving it up... but I went down to 8 days a month and am gonna try some gym time solo. I have been going there for 3 years and probably for the next 10!

Yes -- inquiring minds want to know...?

liv001 I feel like me explaining it will not do it justice... maybe check out the website... but basically you wear a hear rate monitor in a group class that is an hour long - the class is split between weights and cardio. The idea is to create an "afterburn" in the following 24hrs by being in the target heart rate area (for yourself). I can't say enough good things about it but I know that the results I am looking for is only going to be gained by tailoring my workout at the gym.

Why are you avoiding Orange Theory? I thought they covered everything?
