Fans work but then you have all of that air circulating, which can be difficult to deal with.

You can get a sound machine called "LectroFan" from Amazon for $50 or wait until it goes on sale on Woot for $24, which is what I did. I live under the landing flight path and I never hear it anymore. Love this thing. White noise only, you can control pitch and volume. Very simple. In the meantime, there are a ton of apps for your phone you can put on timer.

One other detail, this machine has no audio "loops" which can make a person with obsessive tendencies a little crazy when they're not able to sleep, or so I've heard. Got the cheap one previously, it made me even crazier than I am naturally. Your experiences may differ. https://smile.amazon.com/Adaptive-Sound-Technologies-LectroFan-Non-Looping/dp/B00JU8P8VY/ref=sr_1_5_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1542402620&sr=8-5&keywords=noise%2Bmachine&th=1 TIA.

@tom yeah it’s too cold for a fan. I put my diffuser really close by my bed and used more water than I should so it made splashing sounds. 😂 but it wasn’t loud enough. I even thought about a water fountain on my nightstand

@kat that’s why I am looking for a “good” one. I’ve heard awful things about some and don’t want to waste money while staying at my dads trying to save up money!!! I’ll look into that one! Thanks!

@gz9 I tried a sleep mask it didn’t help. And when I get my lashes done again on Tuesday I probably can’t wear one ☹️
But I am thinking a desk size fan on my nightstand? 🤷♀️
I’ll try an app for sound, good idea! We usually slept with a large air purifier in our rooms and that helped a lot, I also had double paned windows, So I never heard neighbors dogs barking...
I’ve always been a light sleeper but since the drastic change of moving into my dads house sleep has been rough. They wake up early and feed dogs and do a bunch of stuff, I am used to staying up late and sleeping in. 😔

I use oils!!!
But I have so much stress, health issues and have always had sleep problems. Now the toxic air quality and dry weather 😩 it’s making sleep impossible. So the oils probably help but aren’t enough. I may use Benadryl tonight for my allergies... I think I have also become allergic to dust, dogs and cats because I haven’t had this until we started moving ☹️

Also I think going keto during such a stressful time and having a visit from aunt flow... 😩 I’m hoping I sleep like a baby Monday after we are fully moved out!!!! 🤞
