Hahaha mom brain! Thought this 0.2# loss was for the week. Was a bit disappointing... then started to sort through things to log on my spreadsheet and OOPS. That 0.2# was for a day. For the week it’s 1.2# 😅😉.

Oddly enough, I didn’t have the usual post workout gain. Or the soreness. Hips a bit tight, shoulders and neck sore from holding stress there and workout didn’t help but didn’t make it a lot worse either. Perhaps my body is ready to get back to 120-125! From around 23-30 I felt my best at 122-126. My weight always fell within that range on days I felt really good with a lot of energy. I learned that if the scale was between 122-126 then I needed to get all the cleaning done, shopping etc.

I’m debating a new goal. I believe it should be in that range. I also had a thought. I average around 1500 calories usually. Some days I’m really hungry and others not so much. I wonder if I would be able to eat say 1600-1700 per day. That would allow for a meal out each week and maybe a candy bar 😉. I’m all about having ‘unhealthy’ foods more often lol. I can eat better now because I know eventually I’ll get the foods I love more often.

With this 1.2# loss my first thought is ‘bring on the donut!’ (or pizza, snickers, etc). I’m a bit afraid to because I don’t want to go back to 130 haha. I like the 120’s even if it’s closer to 130 than 120! Perhaps a protein bar reward 😁

Becca, my ideal is 126. Is your ideal similar? I’m still on the fence about body fat. It would be nice to have a flat tummy, smooth inner thighs and the bit of fat I still have on my outer thighs and arms gone. However I know it takes a lot to maintain a lower bf%. Two kids in sports right now (2-5 games a week), we coach one of the teams plus another, my middle starts practices the 18th and when the youngest has her last game, the middle will start hers and the oldest plays Nov-Feb. we also have the middle in three clubs and the oldest will start archery Soon. I figured out that we have 0-3 evenings open per week. My workouts would have to be before practice if hubby can take kids home or during the day which starts cutting into cleaning, shopping etc. It’ll get snowy and icy in a month and then gym will only be on days I can get to town on our horrible dirt roads lol. I’m not sure once a week gym and then home workouts will be enough to get me to 18-20% bf and stay there. Choices lol. More food, more fat and more time to get things done OR less time, less food, more workouts and better body...

Ty Jen! (I’m Jennifer btw and some friends call me Jen 😉) I’m lazy and don’t want to go get a donut. Now debating on a protein bar or just early lunch. Think I’ll go with an early lunch of tacos then pack a protein bar and jerky for the drive to the game. Perhaps I’ll splurge and share some nachos with the kids at the game. If we win I usually try to get something for the oldest. Actually even if they lose horribly I do as long as she’s played well lol. If cheap then we get our own ($2-4), if expensive ($4-8) we share two between us four girls. Hubby demolishes at least one, popcorn and maybe a hotdog. Wish I could snack like him! I used to a year ago... that’s how I gained 10# in 7 months lol.

I want to get to 140 and build muscle from there. I am a bit older than you, remember I can be your mother, and taller, but my normal weight in high school and throughout my 20s and 30s was 125. My lowest was 112, but that was because I was in an unhealthy relationship - long story and not important. Anyway, I picked 140# as a goal because that's the weight I was when I realized I had gained weight. That was over 20 years ago. I would like to see what 140# looks like on me, then build muscle. I want to be fit and healthy, not just slim. I have the time now at this point in my life, now I just need the energy to get it done. 😊

I'm all for a flat tummy! It's so ironic (and sad) that I never had a tummy or overweight issues after having my 4 babies, probably because I was so busy. It wasn't until I had my hysterectomy that I got a tummy. I am determined to get healthy again. 💪😊

Maybe set your goal weight to 125 so 129 doesn't bring on a snack attack?

Becca, 140 sounds like a good number for you and you have a good goal :). I want to build some muscle along the way then see what it’ll take for more. Should I call you Mama B and Chris big brother? Hehe. I also gained after my hysterectomy. Chemo and surgeries and recovery took me from 132ish to 160.6 in 22 months. Belly did get bigger as did the love handles and inner thighs. All around bigger but those areas I noticed grew the most.

Chris, I was going to add the donut haha. Not a lot to skip for me unless it’s cheese on a sandwich or a protein shake. I could skip the once a week snickers but that’s 250 so not much.

Good idea LZ! I’ll do that after the game tonight.
