Slow, steady, consistent. Set small achievable goals and reevaluate your plan as you go along. Welcome to the site. You can do this. How old are you and how tall are you. That is helpful information if some of the members would like to make suggestions to help you on your journey.

I'm 23 years old and 5'4''. I'm trying to balance school, work, my pets, and my health. It's stressful.

Welcome to the party. one thing that has worked for me is portion control. I haven't necessarily changed what I eat but I have measured to u st one serving of eveything. that will help. The meals looks delicious.

You will find that people here are following many different ways of eating (WOE). I am not dieting , I just am monitoring my intake in order to stay as healthy as I can. I basically do portion control, LOWER CARBS— we all eat way too many. I aim for about 40 % of my daily calories, moderate protein and moderate fat. I eat very few processed food and I am not a junk food eater at all. I’m 70 years old, physically active and weigh about 115. Good luck on your journey.

Portion control and eating healthy is the way to do it! It is a way of life if you want to stay healthy. Exercise is also very important especially as we age.
