So I pretty much got away from using this but Probably will get back to using it soon. I mainly just wanted a calorie counter and discovered a community.

I did want to say a few things:

1) For some reason eating oat meal as my last snack of the day helps me lose weight. Even after eating a huge dinner, I weighed in at my lowest point since using this app. Funny thing is, it was the same weight I recorded last time I weighed in.

2) Even though I started counting calories to support my wife and not to lose weight, doing her 1200 calories a day has ran its course. Im eating over that most days and my weight is still staying in the same range. I'm going up to 1600. Still to low for my age and weight I think but whatever.

3) Lastly, if you are actually still reading this, thanks for showing an interest in my journal entry 😀
204.8 lb Lost so far: 23.2 lb.    Still to go: 4.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Hi Bryan, it's really interesting to read from each person because what works for some, may not work for someone else. This being said, Keto is my only friend, carbs just take me down.

Awesome! I mean the finding a community. And yeah, 1600 is probably better for you than 1200. Even if you got away from here, the good thing is YOUR ARE BACK!!! Woohoo!!! The good thing about tracking is, that even if you have a "bad" day, when you see the numbers (calories used) it sometimes keeps you from eating more than you would have if you were not tracking. Welcome Back!!!

Hi guys I'm at 183- and would like to go down to 173, the app gave me 2100 calorie allowance per day, it seems a lot, is that correct? Would anyone know? Thx

Wow, thabks for all the responses! @draglist . right now I'm 6'4, roughly 205 lbs (down from 233(228 when i started using this app)) and Im 47. @Nahalnaz I think this app gives you WAY to much calories when vs calculating. @Doreen Ann Masters, I didn't know what Keto was until I got on here. Did a little research on it, but not much. I'd might try it though just to see how difficult, or easy it would be. Maybe even document it snd blog about it. But I don't know.

I noticed that you hadnt posted anything in a while, but I completely understand stepping away for a little bit, I have done it. Though I will say, I missed the support and love I get here. I am doing Keto and honestly, once you get used to it, its super easy. I just went to ARbys and got a Roast Beef sandwich and am stuffed. I dont eat buns, just meat. Its kind of nice because you get to really TASTE food, you have no idea how much sugar covers flavors until you stop eating it. I hope you stick around, its a wonderful community!
