Anything high in vitamins (like EmergenC) will generally flush some fluid off. I drink water with cucumber, lime, and mint to help keep fluid off. In a 2 quart pitcher, add the juice of 3-4 limes, about 5 leaves of fresh mint, and i cucumber, sliced. Leave room to shake the pitcher and let it chill for at least 6-8 hours. Cucumber and lime contribute vitamin C and potassium, the mint is supposed to be a cleansing herb.

Believe it or not, drinking lots of water will reduce liquid retention. Something about giving the salts a vehicle to get out of your body, I think.

You can try foods that have natural diuretic properties — fresh or frozen asparagus, hibiscus for tea, green tee, and nopales (cactus). And, as abbadabba said, increase your fluid intake to help you pee out some of that salt.
