Hello, I'm new to this app. But sadly, I'm no stranger to the weight loss struggle. I was wondering if anyone could tell me. What is an acceptable number of calories, per day for a 6' 5" man who weighs 389 pounds. I believe that I'm fairly active during the day. But,, you know, opinions vary.

Bigkla, the man that postedthe pic above will answer your question, he's a good one to follow, and he knows about big guys like us, and what we need to do! Good luck, and keep in touch on here! Lots of support, and like I said, ches knows his stuff!

Ches, that looks awesome, but I gotta say this, what are you blocking out in the bottom of the cup with the black square, you hiding something? LOL

Nope CB, it would still count. Bikla, welcome. Starting point, log everything and in 27 days, ask to critique and then we can analyze and make suggestions.

Thanks Amanda and Pam. Wife bought a whole rotisserie chicken home for me (I measured out a portion on the food scale) and I ate half the avocado (based on the measurement again on the food scale) I wanted to go longer on the fast but OMAD / Keto was good enough for me.

Thanks Karen. Wash, rinse and repeat tonight unless the kids gets to my chicken. Have to tell wife to hide it from them.

Ches, do you eat at around the same time every day or does it vary. I eat two meals a day, lunch and dinner at 12:30 and 6:30 usually. I rarely want dinner but eat it because 400-500 is not really enough. How do you consume enough calories in one meal and at what time of day do you eat it.

I hope you don't mind me being intrusive. I just think one meal might work much better for me right now.

Thx HCB & 2426girl. @2426girl, it varies. I like to eat only lunch and dinner as well. I was really busy yesterday and made it to 23 hrs with ease. I am not too concerned about total calories or calories per meal per se as I am about working on getting my macros to 70/20/10 F/P/C (It's a work in progress) I am on target to getting my net carbs to 60 this month, a reduction from 102 in Aug, and dropping that another 40% to 36 in OCT. I weigh my food, eat it and wait 20 before getting more food to see if I am truly still hungry. The fat percentages in my meals have been wonderful at making me feel full and I ok with it. Hope this helps.
