moogiemynes's Journal, 14 September 2017

I bought a food scale. It has helped me see how much food I am eating. Dr. Einfelt says to eat until satisfied, but I found that I was filling up on vegetables instead of low-carb items and going over my limit. My daughters can handle higher carb foods, but I cannot. Too much protein is also a bug-a-boo for me. My liver wants to turn it into glucose.

Yesterday, I had something of a "hangover", but today I feel bight-eyed and bushy-tailed.

Ha yes, the downfalls of hidden-carb veg, and of protein overload. I tried to cut back protein pretty abruptly, and that didn't work either, but my gallbladder wasn't ready for the additional fats needed to offset that reduction. Glad you feel better today!
