My youngest daughter is getting married the end of September, she wants me to brew beer as favors for the wedding guests. So today is brew day for batch one, a Raspberry Wheat. Tomorrow I'll brew a West Coast IPA. In a week or two, when the first two batches are in secondary fermentation, I'll brew a Hefeweizen which is one of my favorite beers. They're 5 gallon batches so final yield will be 6 cases of brew.
I've got some cute ideas (I think anyway) for labels. They'll have the bride and groom's names and wedding date of course, and the type of beer. Below that will read, for the IPA, "Two hearts I.n P.erfect A.ccord". The Raspberry Wheat will read "May their love multiply and grow like fruit on the vine". And the Hefewiezen will read: "The WEIZ groom knows: happy wife, happy life". Gotta get my daughter to agree to it, but I like them.
She's a dance teacher and started teaching my wife and I ballroom dance last week. Wow, that is a work out. Looks easy but it's not, especially for someone who hasn't danced before other than lumbering around the dance floor like a bear. She has the father/daughter dance completely choreographed so I'll need to learn it. Should be fun and it'll be nice feeling like I'm not a total klutz on the dance floor.
