Not logging food hasn't resulted in a loss... shocking, right? We start logging again today. I haven't gained, but I haven't lost either and I was actually doing well. It's all good information to have though. Carbs and sugar just make me want more carbs and sugar. Best thing to do is stay away from the sugar altogether and limit the carbs.

I think I'm also going to design my "basic" menu and stick to it. Maybe post it by my computer. Yes, there are other people in the house. Yes, they want to cook for me. It's not good for me though, so need to stay on the straight and narrow but there's also the fine line between trying to please me and taking me down that unhealthy path. Will be firm but kind. The hidden treats are poison for me and either need to go in her room or the trash. Those are the only options.

You can also streamline posting to your food diary by creating named "meals" and then selecting them as you eat them. They will appear in your diary as individual items so if you have sausage one day and another you have bacon, you can simply edit that one item.

Thanks, I didn't realize I could do that. When I was living by myself, it was very simple to structure my meals as protein, veggie, fat. Enter a second person and all of a sudden we have rice, beans, and other carbs all over the place. I'm going to just have to learn to say no thank you and stick to my guns. No crackers, no wine (sigh), no frozen yogurt.
